3 1/2 stars - The BEST bagels in the area! They have a ton of seeds on them & have a great chew to them. Place recently moved & the location is large but not being utilized properly & is a little confusing inside. You wait on one line to order & then go to another line to pick up & pay. There are a few tables in there but they could easily put in a lot more.
My one gripe is the fact that the bagels are in a display open so that people can grab a bagel - sorry but that is a turn-off - no way is everyone using the suggested wax paper to grab a bagel. Not sure why they are allowed to do that but wish they were behind the counter. -

The good selection of bagels, I feel, are the best around, the long lines go fast in the morning rush hours. The owners & staff are pleasant. Like that you can get a decent expresso et al, hard to find in these parts.
Theres plenty of tables to grab & they always seem to be clean.
Im excited to see the new shop!
I really hope that one day Java Joes will have a paper cup option & get rid of the nasty styrofoam cups (horrible for our health & the environment especially for those that enjoy this every workday) Maybe with the new shop I will get a surprise & see paper cups. GO GREEN!!!! -

I have been coming to this Bagel shop for the past 5 years when I visit NJ from RI. I always loved Java Joe's. I actually went there this morning.
While I like the new location, there's something missing in the bagel. Even my family states this. It's just not as good as it used to be. We hope they find what's missing. The people are very nice there and want nothing but success for them. -

I would give 0 stars if I could ,so much for trying something new ..... this place is so horrible .... I can not believe how rude and obnoxious the funny looking guy( w gray hair) at the register was , talk about miserable .... I believe he may be the owner ... not only was he unbelievably rude to us , he was rude to other customers that I witnessed, who also were in disbelief ,we will NEVER go back there again .... in my opinion he is working in the wrong industry ,he has no manners or patience he should not be dealing w the public (just my observation)just plain disgusting ....will NEVER go back ...!!!!!!!

The guy at the counter was the rudest person I've ever dealt with !!! He is also one of the owners. He overcharged me then tried to embarrass me accusing me of trying to steal a bagel. I will never visit Java Joes again in Roxbury Route 10.
